Surging Thoughts
CƟntinue reading on ΒΟXNΟVEL.ϹʘMCao Xiaorui immediately replied, “I heard it from Teacher Wu. After all, she’s a victim, so the police called her over.”
Ji Yuanyuan stared at Cao Xiaorui’s previous message and did not reply.
Cao Xiaorui, on the other hand, began to chatter. “This Li Xiaoxi is also strange. It’s been so long since the incident. The surgery has been completed. She actually turned herself in. What is she after? Could it be that she really has a conscience?”
Ji Yuanyuan did not reply. “I should sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow. Let’s talk another day.”
Cao Xiaorui tactfully didn’t continue the topic. After saying goodnight, she didn’t say anything else.
After Ji Yuanyuan was done cleaning up, she lay on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. She did not speak for a long time.
It was strange. Li Xiaoxi had turned herself in and the truth was finally out, but she still couldn’t feel happy.
Li Xiaoxi’s surrender was meaningless at this moment.
It was impossible for Teacher Wu’s hand to return to its previous state.
That night, Ji Yuanyuan could not sleep.
This state lasted until the next morning. The moment she saw Qin Mucheng, it reached the peak.
The moment she saw Qin Mucheng, her eyes could not help but turn red.
Her tears fell.
Qin Mucheng was originally smiling. He held Tangtang’s hand with one hand and pulled the luggage with the other. He followed Tangtang’s pace and approached Ji Yuanyuan little by little.
However, when he saw Ji Yuanyuan’s tears, his expression changed. He picked up Tangtang with one hand and quickened his pace as he walked towards Ji Yuanyuan.
A moment later, he stood in front of Ji Yuanyuan. He put Tangtang and the luggage down, reached out his arms, and hugged Ji Yuanyuan.
Seeing this, Tangtang tugged at the corner of Ji Yuanyuan’s shirt worriedly. “Mommy, why are you crying?” she asked. “Did someone bully you?”
After all, in Tangtang’s impression, her mother was very strong.
Ever since she was young, she had never seen her mother cry.
Therefore, when Ji Yuanyuan cried, Tangtang panicked.
Only then did Ji Yuanyuan come back to her senses. She should not have cried in front of the child.
She quickly struggled out of Qin Mucheng’s arms.
“I’m crying because I miss you too much,” she said with a smile as she wiped her tears.
She squatted down and opened her arms, wanting to give Tangtang a hug.
But Tangtang said, “Mommy, you’re lying. You only hugged Daddy just now. You miss Daddy.”
Ji Yuanyuan was stunned for a moment before awkwardly changing the topic. “Do you want to go back to the hotel to rest or eat something before you rest?”
“I’m not hungry. I want to rest first.” Tangtang looked as if she understood what Ji Yuanyuan meant.
Ji Yuanyuan reached out and held Tangtang’s hand while Qin Mucheng pulled the luggage out.
Tangtang was indeed sleepy. When she returned to the hotel, she fell asleep after saying a few words to Ji Yuanyuan.
Ji Yuanyuan had booked a suite. She carefully walked out of Tangtang’s room, closed the door gently, and went to Qin Mucheng’s room.
Just as she placed her hand on the doorknob, the door suddenly opened.
A hand reached out from inside and roughly pulled Ji Yuanyuan into the room.
She was pressed against the door and Qin Mucheng’s heavy breathing could be heard.
She could feel Qin Mucheng’s surging longing.
She reached out and hugged Qin Mucheng’s neck.
She closed her eyes and muttered softly, “Mucheng…”
