Surrender
CƟntinue reading on ΒΟXNΟVEL.ϹʘMJust as Ji Yuanyuan was about to return to the dormitory, a message popped up on her phone.
It should be around three o’clock in the afternoon in China. It seemed like Qin Mucheng was not busy at the company.
Ji Yuanyuan called Qin Mucheng on Wechat. Before Qin Mucheng could speak, she said gently, “How did you know that my class is over? Did you miss me?”
Strangely, Qin Mucheng did not respond to Ji Yuanyuan’s words. He only coughed uncomfortably.
“You…” Ji Yuanyuan was about to speak again.
Qin Mucheng was probably afraid Ji Yuanyuan would say something inappropriate to outsiders. He quickly reminded him. “I’m in a meeting. The computer screen was projected.”
Ji Yuanyuan was stunned for a moment before she realized that everyone in the meeting room had heard what she had just said.
Her face turned red and she quickly hung up the phone.
Not long after, Qin Mucheng called again.
Ji Yuanyuan picked it up and deliberately kept silent.
“I cut off the screen. I’m outside,” Qin Mucheng said softly.
“Why did you send me a message when your computer screen was projected?” Ji Yuanyuan complained in a low voice. “I thought you weren’t busy.”
“My computer was projector, but I sent the message through my phone.” Qin Mucheng felt a little wronged. “I can only talk to you at this time every day. I’m afraid that you’ll go to bed if I’m late.”
Ji Yuanyuan was speechless. “Then why are you using the computer to answer the phone?” she asked after a while.
“I had just put my phone down. When your call came in, I wanted to hang up, but my hand slipped and you spoke too fast…”
Hearing Qin Mucheng’s aggrieved voice, Ji Yuanyuan sighed helplessly. She covered her face with one hand. “I’m so embarrassed.”
“No, don’t be. They’re all married.” Qin Mucheng coaxed her. They knows that we’re separated and will understand us.”
Ji Yuanyuan sighed again and did not say anything.
Upon seeing this, Qin Mucheng took the initiative to find a topic to talk about. “How was it? Did everything go smoothly today?”
Thinking of Li Xiaoxi, Ji Yuanyuan hesitated for two seconds before saying, “It went quite smoothly. It’s just that I’m too tired.”
No matter what Qin Mucheng did to Li Xiaoxi, she would not blame Qin Mucheng for others.
Furthermore, Qin Mucheng was a person who knew his limits. He would not go overboard.
Naturally, Qin Mucheng did not hear Ji Yuanyuan’s hesitation through the phone. He only reminded her, “Don’t work too hard. Rest when you’re tired. It’s Friday tomorrow. We’ll fly over to see you after Tangtang finishes school in the afternoon.”
Ji Yuanyuan pursed her lips. Although she wanted to see them, she thought that a flight of seven to eight hours was too long. She said against her will, “I’m fine here. You don’t have to worry about me. It’s so far away. You don’t have to come here every week…”
“Yuanyuan, I miss you.” Qin Mucheng lowered his voice and interrupted Ji Yuanyuan.
Qin Mucheng’s deep voice stunned Ji Yuanyuan.
Ever since they got married, they had never been separated from each other for such a long time.
She opened her mouth and said in a choked voice, “Me too.”
There were still two more years to go.
“Be good. We’ll see each other tomorrow night.” Qin Mucheng coaxed her softly.
“I’m fine. Go ahead.” Ji Yuanyuan was afraid she would cry if she said anything more, so she quickly hung up the phone.
The next night, Ji Yuanyuan returned to the dormitory and opened his phone. He received a message from Cao Xiaorui, ‘I heard that Li Xiaoxi turned herself in and admitted that she instigated others to hurt you.’
Ji Yuanyuan frowned slightly and typed back, ‘How did you know?’
