Chapter 145: The Spectacular Convoy on the Move!

Xiyun City, located 200 kilometers away from Nancheng, wasn’t an adjacent city. It was separated from Nancheng by two other cities. Reaching Xiyun City from Nancheng required over two hours of travel, though taking the highway might shave off some time.

Wang Yun had his own reasons for choosing this city.

“Brother Hu, collect all the explosives, we’re getting ready to leave,” Wang Yun commanded as he stepped out of the vehicle.

“Understood, boss!” Brother Hu immediately acknowledged, scanning the group, “Everyone, quickly remove all the explosives around here. We’re preparing to depart.”

“Alright, Big Brother,” the subordinates swiftly agreed, retrieving all the explosives from within the tunnel.

Wang Yun had further plans for these explosives.

“Boss, all explosives have been removed,” Brother Hu and Old Song reported back after a short while, bringing the explosives with them.

“Everyone gather close, strip off all gear, and change into regular clothes. Also, put on these skin masks,” Wang Yun ordered.

“Each mask is tailored to fit your face, created based on the hostages’ features. This means your masks bear an exact resemblance to our hostages here, as a preparation for our escape. When we reach the next city, you’ll all start new lives, splitting up to evade arrest. Given our numbers, moving as a group is impractical, from then on, it’s every man for himself. With these skin masks, you’ll have the opportunity to escape and hide perfectly. Whether or not you’re caught will be up to you,” Wang Yun said to all of his subordinates.

“Thank you, boss!”

The subordinates loudly expressed their gratitude upon hearing this.

“Alright, get ready. Hide yourselves in the vehicles and keep your firearms,” Wang Yun continued his instructions.

“Yes,” the subordinates nodded, obediently following the orders.

As escapees from prison, they naturally wished to safely hide away and start over. Each of them donned a disguise mask and then entered the vehicles. With these masks, looking identical to some of the hostages in the tunnel, they could start their escape without the program inspection teams daring to shoot recklessly. After issuing his commands and making arrangements, Wang Yun immediately pulled out his phone and dialed that number.

Simultaneously, outside, members of the program inspection teams sat in their vehicles, somewhat listlessly. Program officers took turns standing guard and even the Captains began to rotate for rest.

Then, Captain Everick saw the phone in front of him ring and quickly answered.

“Good morning,” greeted Wang Yun, with a smile evident in his voice.

“Speak!” Captain Everick took a deep breath and responded.

“Clear the way, I’m heading to another city. Once we’re there, all the hostages will be released. And a warning, do not follow our convoy, or you’ll face the consequences,” Wang Yun said calmly.

“Alright, I hope you keep your word,” Captain Everick replied icily.

“Don’t worry, I can’t possibly keep these hostages forever. As soon as we reach the next city, I’ll naturally let them go,” Wang Yun said with a smile. “Order your people to withdraw now. I have drones that can survey the area, so don’t try anything.”

“Rest assured,” Captain Everick said emotionlessly, “Wang Yun, don’t think you can escape us by running to another city. You’ll see, it won’t be long before I make you pay.”

“Hehe,” Wang Yun chuckled lightly, a slight smirk forming on his lips, “I’m looking forward to it.”

“All officers, withdraw immediately!” Captain Everick commanded, with other national program inspection Captains standing by his side listening.

They quickly relayed the order, and the program inspection officers began to retreat in their vehicles.

“Are all of you ready?” Wang Yun hung up the call and turned to Brother Hu with the question.

“Boss, we’re all prepared,” Brother Hu nodded affirmatively.

“Alright, let’s have a large vehicle lead the way. Our vehicle will position itself in the center, with another large vehicle bringing up the rear,” Wang Yun directed specifically.

He issued a stern warning to all hostages, “Do not entertain thoughts of escaping. Once we reach the next city, you’ll be released naturally. Anyone who even thinks about escaping will be dealt with immediately by my men.”

“Yes, boss,” Brother Hu acknowledged with a nod.

More than seventy subordinates dispersed among the vehicles carrying hostages. Armed, they ensured the hostages couldn’t muster the courage to resist. Shortly after, several subordinates drove out of Longshan Tunnel in a vehicle originally belonging to the Singapore program inspection team.

A vast convoy of seventy to eighty vehicles, carrying hostages, followed suit, forming a grand procession heading outward. By now, the program inspection teams’ vehicles had vacated the area up front. ***

“Big Brother and his crew are setting off for another city!”

“I wonder which city Big Brother is heading to. Now that all of his subordinates have a mask, this moment feels like the beginning of a Skynet Operation season. Once they arrive in the new city, not only does Big Brother need to be apprehended by the program inspection teams from various countries, but all other fugitives must be captured as well!”

“It indeed seems like the start of a Skynet Operation season. The difference is that Big Brother is the most formidable villain. It’s uncertain which program inspection team will ultimately defeat him!”

“Moving to a new city is truly exciting. It’ll be interesting to see how the program inspection teams execute their arrest operation!”

Meanwhile, in Wang Yun’s live stream, all viewers engaged in lively discussions about the transition to a new city, eagerly anticipating the next developments.

By that time, each of Wang Yun’s subordinates would have made their own escape.

This situation somewhat resembled the beginning of a new Skynet Operation season. The twist here, however, was that Wang Yun was the ultimate boss.

This scenario piqued the interest of all viewers, sparking continuous discussions and debates.

As the convoy progressed, Wang Yun, seated in the central vehicle, controlled a fleet of drones that flew around. These drones could scout an area up to three or four kilometers wide, ensuring no program officers were in the vicinity.

This method of escape was quite unique, making a grand and dramatic exit. Indeed, it was a spectacle on the streets, grand and full of momentum.

Around them, the program Captains looked on with somber faces as they watched Wang Yun’s convoy depart. Their gaze flickered, fists clenched tight.

“Ah, it’s so embarrassing for our country’s team, just letting Wang Yun and his crew leave like that?”

“It’s not just our country’s team that’s embarrassing. It’s a shame for all the teams. They arrived full of confidence, yet now, as Big Brother heads to another city, they can’t stop him, only able to watch helplessly!”

“The real issue is that Brother Wang Yun is just too formidable, but that’s what makes it even more intriguing. If they had just arrested Big him outright, how dull would that have been!”

“Keep going, push on! I believe that one day, Wang Yun will be caught and dealt with!”

“As it stands, Wang Yun is completely outclassing all the country’s program inspection teams!”

In the live streams of program inspection teams from various countries, viewers worldwide were also discussing this unfolding drama.
