When Gu Qingxin woke up, she glanced at the clock on the wall and was dumbfounded to see it was already five in the afternoon. Had another day just slipped by like this?

There was no one else on the big bed. Beiming Han was no longer in the bedroom.

Gu Qingxin forced herself out of bed despite the soreness in her body, and walked around the apartment. Beiming Han was nowhere to be found.

The door to the apartment was opened, and Ye Qi walked in, carrying a food box.

Raising his head to suddenly see the girl standing not far away, he quickly turned his head away, coughed awkwardly, and a suspicious red blush flashed across his face.

“Ye Qi, why are you here?” Gu Qingxin hadn’t noticed his discomfort, and was about to walk towards him.

“Miss, your clothes…” Ye Qi awkwardly pointed out, unable to suppress the reaction that his body was having. Even though he had only glanced briefly, he had clearly seen that she was only wearing a men’s shirt, without any underwear on.

Gu Qingxin lowered her head and realized she was dressed too…

Her face turned red instantly, and she whirled around and fled back into the bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

Only upon hearing the sound of the door closing did Ye Qi slowly turn around, his throat nervously bobbed a few times…

Gu Qingxin took a shower, changed the dirty bedding, and then emerged from the bedroom.

Ye Qi had already set the table with the food and said, “Young Master instructed me to bring this for you.”

“Where is he?” Gu Qingxin couldn’t help but ask. He had insisted on her exercising in the morning until she passed out, and now he was nowhere to be found.

Gu Qingxin felt uncomfortable. She really didn’t like him acting like this…

“He’s busy.” Ye Qi casually responded.

“Have you eaten yet?” Gu Qingxin glanced at the exquisite food on the table. There was so much of it, she wouldn’t be able to finish it all herself.

“Not yet!” Ye Qi answered honestly.

“Let’s eat together then! Consider it my thanks for delivering the food.” Gu Qingxin said, as she settled herself at the table.

“There’s no need!” Ye Qi responded emotionlessly, his cool demeanor making him seem all the more adorable.

In fact, Gu Qingxin knew that though he seemed cold on the outside, his heart was warm!

What she didn’t know was that this man was only special towards her alone…

“Eating alone is boring, just keep me company while eating.” Gu Qingxin got up and placed a pair of chopsticks across from her.

Ye Qi, “…”

Pulled out a chair and sat down, picked up the chopsticks in front of him, and started to eat.

Ye Qi’s eating manners weren’t particularly elegant, but they gave off a sense of propriety.

Gu Qingxin picked up a piece of braised pork rib and placed it in his bowl, saying, “Have some meat.”

“Thank you.” Ye Qi picked up the rib, took a bite, and tasted it. The same pork rib somehow tasted completely different from before.

He was a bit puzzled by this strange, unfamiliar feeling.

“Ye Qi, do you have any family at home?”

Gu Qingxin had known Ye Qi for quite some time now, and he’d always been with her during training. But she had never seen anyone as quiet as him.

As if he didn’t exist at all.

“I’m an orphan, I don’t have relatives.” Ye Qi answered flatly, his voice devoid of any fluctuations.

“I’m sorry.” Gu Qingxin apologized awkwardly.

“There’s no need to be… The bodyguards of the Beiming Family, apart from Lieyan, the others, including my father, are also the family’s bodyguards. He inherited his father’s profession. The rest of the bodyguards are orphans.” Ye Qi gave her a simple explanation.
