Chapter 184: I’d Rather Have You for Dinner
Mo Shan quickly followed after him.
When they were both outside, Huo Yunting did not head for the elevator, but went to the washroom instead.
Why would he choose to use the one outside when he had his own private restroom?
That reminded Mo Shan of the embarrassing sounds she heard from outside the washroom that fateful day. It made her feel humiliated.
She stomped her way toward the elevator and left Thunderbolt Corp’s office.
That night, Lu Zhaoyang noticed that Huo Yunting was in a good mood.
She did not mind it one bit. If him being in a good mood meant that he would treat her mother better, it did not hurt to help him stay this way.
Nevertheless, he was the Devil wearing the mask of an angel. Hie evil heart would never change.
Lu Zhaoyang chewed dutifully on a mouthful of vege as Huo Yunting spoke up casually from opposite her. “You did well today.”
She chewed slowly and replied softly, “Thank you.”
Huo Yunting did not mind her dismissive reply. He simply nodded and continued, “Hmm, I’ll be sure to reward you accordingly tonight.”
“…” That was a reward she would rather do without.
Lu Zhaoyang was annoyed by his one-track mind and decided to try something she read online to return the favor!
She beamed suddenly and said, “In fact, I dreamt of you visiting me last night on a rainbow cloud.”
Huo Yunting raised a brow in intrigue and asked, “And then?”
Lu Zhaoyang picked up her chopsticks to get another vege stalk. “You even stuck your tongue out at me.”
Huo Yunting was genuinely amused. “That’s because I wanted to kiss you.”
Lu Zhaoyang took a quick glance at him and continued casually, “You were sitting beside the god Erlang [1]…”
“…”
Is this woman calling me a dog?
He narrowed his eyes dangerously.
Lu Zhaoyang smiled mockingly. “I heard this from somewhere, I hope you enjoyed it!”
Huo Yunting stared at her for a long while before realizing that she was only teasing him. His anger dissipated instantly.
“Since when are you so funny? As long as you think of me, I don’t mind what I look like, be it a dog or a cat.”
Lu Zhaoyang’s lips twitched. It was only a joke.
If she saw him in her dreams, it would wake her up that instance!
Huo Yunting noticed that her anger had dissipated in the past few days. His efforts must be paying off.
Lu Zhaoyang put her chopsticks down, feeling suddenly too full for comfort.
Huo Yunting watched her wipe her lips with a napkin as he asked, “Tomorrow’s the weekend. Where’d you like to go? We’ll have a good time together…”
“Home.” Lu Zhaoyang stood up and left without looking back.
To her surprise, the gesture did not shut him up. “I didn’t know you want to spend so much time with me in bed on the weekend.”
“…” Lu Zhaoyang was dumbfounded and looked back at him. “If you carry on like this, you’ll bite the dust one day because of your bottomless desire! Get a hold of yourself!”
Huo Yunting stood up abruptly and went to her. “I’ll have to try harder to know if that’s true.”
Lu Zhaoyang admitted defeat in this battle with words that she inadvertently started herself.
“You haven’t finished your dinner yet.” She reminded him as she took a few steps back.
Huo Yunting hastened to her side and pulled her into his arms. “I’d rather have you for dinner.”
