Chapter 94: Just Catch Everyone Naked After a while, Ji Yang walked in miserably with her phone in her hands.

Mu Siyin immediately stood up and stared at Ji Yang as she asked, “How was it? Did your leader agree to it?”

Ji Yang sighed helplessly. “He did agree…”

“Really? That’s amazing!” Mu Siyin was so happy that her eyes glistened with joy.

Ji Yang replied in exasperation, “Thanks to you, I need to head over with the rest of the team tonight to crack down on prostitution…”

“Ah?” Mu Siyin immediately widened her eyes in shock.

Ji Yang sighed as she shook her head. “I’m a dignified detective! Why do I have to crack down on prostitution? Isn’t this a waste of talent?”

Mu Siyin held her breath and blinked. “Crackdown… prostitution! That’s good! I’ve always looked up to the policemen who do those.”

“I’m no man, sister!” Ji Yang glared at her.

Mu Siyin quickly smiled and nodded. “Okay, okay. You’re a young missus.”

Ji Yang flipped her long and shiny black hair despondently as she hugged herself. At this point, she had to accept her fate. “So be it. I’ll catch anyone naked.”

Mu Siyin was speechless at how brutal her friend was.

By noon, Mu Siyin’s fever had subsided. However, she was sick for so long that it had made her weak, and all she wanted to do was lay in bed.

Ji Yang peeled a fruit and passed it to her. “I’ll be leaving in a while. You should call your boyfriend now and ask him to take over my shift.”

Mu Siyin looked at the time. It was almost 5:00 p.m already.

She thought for a while before she probed Ji Yang, “Are you really going to the prostitution-crackdown operation, Yangyang?”

Ji Yang looked up. “Of course. Why would I lie to you?”

Mu Siyin smiled with her eyes squinted. “That’s not it. I just thought you were fooling around with me. Well, you should get on your way now. You don’t have to worry about me. I’ll do fine alone.”

Ji Yang frowned. “How can I do that? I don’t feel at ease leaving a beautiful and bright girl like you alone?”

Liking what she heard, Mu Siyin’s smile grew wider. “I’ll be fine! You should just leave. His job ends at 6:00 p.m., so he’ll be here later.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

Ji Yang thought for a bit before she nodded her head. “Don’t move around too much, okay? I’ll inform the nurse’s station later.”

“Alright. Sure.”

Mu Siyin watched as Ji Yang disappeared from the door and could not help but let out a long sigh. She hoped all her effort was not for naught.

She hoped that fate would stand on her side.

Ji Yang had only left for ten minutes before Shi Beiyu arrived.

Mu Siyin was watching a drama series on her phone alone when the door was suddenly pushed open. As she raised her gaze, she saw Shi Beiyu walking coldly towards her.

She immediately turned off her phone and squinted as she said, “You’re done with work?”

She did not call him, but she thought he would only be there after 6:00 p.m.

Shi Beiyu stood by her bedside with a grim face and gazed down at her. When he spoke, there was a hint of annoyance in his clear voice. “I told you to act sick, not get yourself admitted to a hospital.”

Shi Beiyu really regretted his suggestion. He would never have told her this method if he knew she would do this to herself.

Mu Siyin was certain that he would tell her off.

She laughed sheepishly as she reached her hands to hold Shi Beiyu’s huge ones. Then, she said softly, “I’m sorry to make you worry, but Yangyang is no ordinary person. She’ll definitely see through my act and get at me if I pretend. That’s why I got sick for real.”
