Chapter 3773 Division?
"Hehe, my dear Tanya~ It seems like you were chosen."
Shirley walked to Tanya and raised her hand high up into the skies before grasping Tanya's hand and smashing one pill into her palm.
"…"
Tanya blinked at the pill in her palm before her gaze returned to Shirley.
"I… is this fine…?"
She looked unsure, although her expression was filled with an honored smile.
"It is."
Shirley joyfully smiled, "You deserve it."
"…"
Tanya took a deep breath. She couldn't inhale the scent of the pill as it was sealed, but she controlled her tears from spilling out.
After all, these two didn't hesitate to give her such a valuable pill.
"Fine. I will cultivate harder to meet your expectations."
"Good~"
Shirley nodded, patting Tanya's shoulder before she turned to look at Davis. She walked towards him before she tried to place those pills in his hands again.
Davis waved his hand.
"These pills are something that you won for yourself. I was watching you and your sisters, Shirley. I know you suffered to obtain these rewards, so you should be the one to choose who gets them."
"Ha!"
Shirley scoffed, looking rowdy as she gestured with her hands, "I'm not incurring the resentment of anyone here. Let me be the good old, fourth sister who loves all and encompasses all like a gentle phoenix. You can be the demon for me, right?"
She reached out her hands and held the hem of his robe's collars as she flashed a devilish smile.
"…"
Davis blinked.
It seems like he had to take one for the team.
"Alright…"
He grabbed the four lustrous pills from Shirley's hands and turned to look at the others.
Tanya, Myria, Mingzhi, Sophie, Tina, Schleya, Lea, Dalila, and Ellia were there. As for the rest, they were watching from underground using a projection since it was better to lay low than to keep their head outside, but still, it was obvious to Davis that the others would want the pill without them having to voice out.
This was the problem with an equivalent harem council. Then again, if it wasn't equal, then some would step out to make themselves superior using various underhanded tactics, so he would have to avoid that at all costs.
And if they were equal, how was he supposed to distribute the pills? It was through achievements, but if they aren't powerful, how can they hope to achieve something?
The weak would continue to get weaker, and the strong would continue to get stronger.
Because of this strange reality, there came reservations, but such a thing was unfair to the strong ones who had worked hard so far.
'Managing a sect isn't easy… but managing a harem is beyond a god…'
Even in mythical stories, gods get fleeced by their harem sooner or later.
Davis raised his hand and rubbed his chin as he thought, wondering how he should offend them all because it was unavoidable.
"I'm not going to pick favorites. I recommended Tanya because she protects and works for the household in my stead most of the time. Here I have four more Minor Realm Pills, which I'm not going to use, and neither is Myria, as she's going to receive the other Lower Realm Pill."
"I'm choosing her because her wits and knowledge have also saved us many times, but most importantly, she's like a… motherly figure to all of us, calm and collected, not to mention looking after all our cultivations."
"True."
"I vote for Myria to have the last Lower Realm Pill."
Tina and Dalila piously raised their hands. Without her, they wouldn't have reached a high level in Alchemy.
"…"
Meanwhile, Myria stared at Davis, wondering why he chose to use those kinds of words while he looked away as though it wasn't his business.
"I'll put a vote too." Lea raised her hand.
"She's already strong like husband." Sophie giggled, "If she becomes stronger, then we can hide in her sleeves~"
"Ahaha~"
Her words made everyone laugh, bringing a pleasant ring full of harmony to the scene, a vast difference from the tension they carried because it was still life or death for them every second they spent in a Lower Realm.
Davis returned his gaze and nodded at them.
"That's why— I chose to hand the second Minor Realm Pill to Stella."
"If Stella's powers are strong, that would mean our ability to safeguard our own mini realm would be stronger, including our ability to escape. Any objections?"
"…"
Davis asked, but he only received silence, making him nod in approval.
If someone had raised their hands in objection here, he really would have to discipline them thoroughly in bed. It was good they understood Stella's importance to their survival.
He honestly wanted to give Stella the Lower Realm Pill, but he guessed Myria could make better use of it. After all, she was extremely knowledgeable in formations. What was a settlement without defense?
Such a thing couldn't even be categorized as a shelter.
"As for the third Minor Realm Pill…"
Davis panned his gaze, making most of the beauties hold their breath.
"Mingzhi, what do you think? Who should receive the next pill?"
Mingzhi narrowed her brows.
Why was he asking her?
She clenched her teeth inwardly, but when she was asked, she opened her mouth.
"That should be Sophie." "…"
Sophie's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't even released the breath she had held for a while.
Mingzhi continued, "As we improve, our weapons have had a hard time keeping up with us, but our rate of improvement would considerably slow down in the upcoming cultivation stages, which means armaments or even artifacts become the need of the hour. As long as Sophie can forge stronger weapons in the Empyrean Grade, it would mean more chances of survival for all of us instead of just one."
"I have to agree." Myria nodded.
"Yes, it should go to Sophie~"
Many instantly agreed. They were all recipient of custom-made armaments, so it could be said they were in debt to her.
"Then that's decided."
Davis also revealed a huge smile as he had Sophie in his mind as one of the top candidates.
"Well, we have decided on some candidates based on their achievements and usefulness, but for the next one, I'm going to pick a favorite, perhaps…"
ME!
ME! ME!
"…"
For a moment, Davis froze as he felt as though he could hear numerous voices crying out from the depths of their souls. Their faces were still calm, but he could sense their hidden cries.
He thought he should've used different words.
Nonetheless, he broke it.
"Myria…"
"…!"
Davis said, causing many eyes to narrow in hostility. He could even feel the hostility from the projections.
"I order you to find a way to properly dilute this pill and extract its pill essence in such a way that it should be able to retain thirty percent efficacy for four or five people."
"Above hundred and twenty percent enrichment when diluting? That's impossible…"
Myria shook her head.
The others also understood what was going on and gawked. So he wasn't giving the pill to Myria but having her dilute it in order for it to benefit more people?
"I don't know." Davis shrugged, "You're the pill expert. Not me. Get Tina and Dalila's help and find a way, please?"
"Don't be ridiculous…" Myria frowned.
"I don't know if it's even possible to dilute such a pill. Are you prepared to completely waste it?"
"Yes." Davis's expression turned solemn, "Depending on the outcome, we could dilute another pill. This way, at least six to ten people should be able to increase their prowess by two levels with additional benefits. After all, most of us here haven't reached a base prowess that's nine levels higher, so gaining a prowess of two levels higher in the Immortal Emperor Stage with a diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill of Minor Realm should still be possible."
"…"
Mingzhi parted her lips.
So, was this what he meant by picking the favorite? Picking them all?
'This rogue always has a way with words…'
Mingzhi wanted to roll her eyes, but she also thought there wasn't a better answer than this at the moment if he wanted to play favorites.
"So, of course, the fifth pill will be reserved as well until we know the results of the fourth pill. Perhaps it would be the same for the sixth and seventh pills, but if there's a singular use for these two pills due to some need, then we will use it."
Davis expressed his opinion before flicking his sleeve coolly, "Any questions?"
